Tessa the Daredevil

So just a minute ago, Alex was laying on the couch and Tessa climbed up onto our coffee table (which she does a lot, I don't care if that makes me a bad mother. Sometimes she needs a platform to dance on.) Anyway, she climbed up on the table and then did a freefall into Alex's lap. Luckily he was paying attention, but then she kept doing it, so I got it on film.

Nothin like Experimentin...or Canning - whichever.

So this Saturday the Madsen fam (minus Cole and Ash) went to the Bishop's Storehouse to can. Let me tell you, we scanned the crap out of that place. My mom and dad decided it would be a good idea to give us food storage for Christmas because of the failing economy and what not. So that's what we did. Merry Christmas Madsen kids!

Canning-notice there are no pictures of me. That's because I was super busy stamping labels...actually, I was taking pictures. I was useless.

Also, Alex got home from his first business trip to Austin last Thursday and he brought Tessa a Texas Longhorns stuffed animal. She was so excited.

BANGS!!!!

Tessa got bangs. I cut them myself and they're adorable. Not to brag or anything.

Scarecrow Festival

So Ashlii invited us to go to the Scarecrow Festival at Thanksgiving Point. She had heard about it on the news, and let me just say, words cannot describe it. Except magic-that describes it pretty well. I told Ashlii that I was going to blog the hell out of this festival, so here it goes! We got there and Sophie was launching rockets-they put these little hand made rockets on PVC pipes and then they launch into the air-but by launch I mean they could impale a person. Then the little kids run to get their rockets and go launch them again. Tessa loved watching Sophie launch them-then they would run together, so I got some cute pictures of that.

Getting ready to launch it.

Holding hands-so cute.

Cailey and Ashlii trying to capture all the memories. There were a lot.

Then we were walking to get food and we noticed this super tall guy at the pumpkin patch. So we mosied over and found ourselves in the midst of a celebrity...

What the? Hey Shawn Bradley...that's right, he's that guy from Space Jam.

Then we got the kiddies faces painted. It was cute.

Tessa getting her face painted.

Stone was getting Dracula.

Sophie was a cat.

After the face painting. Stone was still getting his done.

Then they didn't wanna take pictures.
It was a way fun day-there was so much for the kids to do!

The bounce houses-they went in all 5 of them.

Stone helping Tessa into one of the bouncy slides.

The family at the festival.

Tessa loved hugging Sophie.

The pumpkin patch. Ashlii and I didn't have husbands. (Alex went to work. Cole was golfing.)

The train. The train of death is more like it...just kidding, it was just a normal train.

Rubie was there too. She loved it. Especially her stroller. Or when Tessa pinched her cheeks so hard that she cried. I'm still sorry Ash.
Anywhoodle, that was the festival in a nutshell. It was way fun, and hopefully it'll be our new fall tradition. Thanks Ash!

TRAX-Tastic. (That's like Fantastic, but with Trax.)

So another awesome thing that happened this weekend is Trax. We had 2 wedding receptions to go to tonight, and they were opposite sides of the valley-one was in Draper, and one was at the Wells Fargo building. So my mom had this idea that we take Trax downtown. It was the best idea she's ever had. Ever.

My dad trying to buy tickets. I'm pretty sure he used a few colorful words because it wouldn't take his money. We finally got some tickets, but two people had to ride illegally....that means we didn't get enough tickets because he was sick of it. Take notice of Cailey. She loves trax.

The family waiting for my dad to figure out the tickets.

Salt Lake City or bust.

Devon is from California so he had to look at the map to see where we were going. Silly Devy, Trax is for kids.

Leslie's Wedding

So Alex's little sister Leslie got married yesterday, and I have a bunch of pictures that deserve blogging about. They had their wedding dinner at The Lion House on Tuesday, and that was a lot of fun. Tessa stayed with my mom, so Alex and I had our night off.

Tessa getting ready to go to my mom's house. Alex got her dressed, and he was so proud of himself.

Alex and me...obviously.

Jordy, Leslie, and Alex. Lance is on a mission so he wasn't there. Obviously.

Then they had their reception in their Aunt Tina's backyard, which was so fun. My mom did the catering, so my sisters were there too, which was also fun. Tessa enjoyed herself. It was like someone injected sugar straight into her bloodstream-I've never seen her so wild.

Tessa eating ice.

The family at the reception. Tessa was mad because she wanted to dance and we made her stop to take a picture. I actually don't have any pictures of Leslie at all...she was busy being married. All in all, it was a really fun day.
