Updates

So I haven't posted a substantial blog in a little while, and I have a lot of old pictures on my camera that I totally forgot about, so this may be a long one. I'll start from the beginning...AMERICAN IDOL CONCERT!!!! My mom took my sisters and I (plus my neice Kenzie) to the American Idol concert and it was awesome. We all wore tie dyed dresses and held a sign that said "David Archuletta is Tie Dye for" Get it? Like to die for, but tie dye....anyway. Here are some pictures of it...
We helped my mom cater this huge wedding, and it was a garden reception, so we were outside walking around the whole time. Anyway, this picture is of our feet afterward. My mom fell asleep. Seriously though, this picture doesn't even show how disgusting they were. Cailey's were black.

The other day we helped babysit my brother Coleman's kids, and Tessa really loves Rubie. So she would keep laying by her and trying to read her stories. Rubie was really into it. She barely even blinked, she thought that the stories were so interesting. Tessa wouldn't show her the pictures though, so that was a little rude...

Lastly, we hung out with Alex's friends on Friday night, and so I have all of these pictures. Tessa held Emmett for the first time. She was so excited-I'm not sure if he was, but she loved it. She just kept saying "Emmett" over and over again. It was almost creepy. But adorable.

Anyway, that's all that's happened lately. I wish I had my camera on the 24th because some funny stuff happened, but I forgot to bring it. Well, I didn't forget, Alex was rushing me out of the house so we could get to Spring City on time (we were 15 minutes early). So that's all for now!

Tagged...I'm not sure what that means

I believe I was 'tagged' by Heather....so here it is!

Three Joys:
1. Tessa-obviously. She's too awesome.
2. Alex-obviously...he's awesome too.
3. Television or my family. It's a tie.

Three Fears:
1. That we'll be living in the same house forever.
2. Having another baby that's not as cool as Tess. She's seriously too awesome.
3. Having my cable go out. I love VH1 and E!.

Three Goals:
1. To stay healthy. I think I'm pretty good so far.
2. To convince Alex that we need to move. He's close to being sold.
3. Graduate college.

Three Current Obsessions/Collections:
1. I don't have any... but Subway.

Three Random Surprising Facts About Me:
1. I have this ridiculously vast knowledge of comic book things. Like, I can probably name all of the X-Men and their powers. I don't even know why. I've never read any comic books...except Archie and Jughead. And let me tell you, they were interesting.
2. I am pretty funny. That's not surprising though, I mean, have you met me? I'm swell.
3. I'm the best dancer ever. According to myself...and Cessy.

I tag: Cailey, Whitney, Ashlii
(I would tag Cessy, but we all know she'll never repost this, or anything)

Hotlanta

This weekend I got to go with my mom and my two sisters to Atlanta while Alex stayed home with Tessa. It was sad to leave the fam, but it was seriously so much fun. Everyday was like a new little adventure. And the girls in my family are hilarious. I'm not even exaggerating, I almost peed my pants most of the time. I wish I could express through blogging the hilariousness of every situation, but it wouldn't do it justice. Anyhow, that's all I've got. God bless.

Weekend O' Fun

So there are a lot of things to post! This has been a weekend of fun (hence the title.) Tessa and I did a little bit of shopping on Thursday which was fun since it's been a while...

The 4th was a busy day for us, because Alex's really loves freedom. First, we hit up the Centerville Parade, which never fails to impress. This year Tessa understands that it's candy that the people throw, so she was a lot more into it. Plus she had a cute outfit, thanks to Grandma Mindy, so I was pleased with everything.

Then, we went swimming at Alex's Grandma Linda's pool, which was fun since we were the only ones there-last year it was packed with people. Tessa wasn't really into taking pictures, so I only got one...

After that, we came home so that Tessa (and Alex and I) could take a nap. We knew we'd be up for a while since Alex comes from a neighborhood where Independence Day is anticipated months ahead of time-so we needed our rest. We had a barbecue at his parent's house, which was fun. Plus, my sister Cecily married his next door neighbor, so we get to see each other even when we are with our in laws. An added bonus was that my parents were out of town, so my little sister Cailey came with her husband Devon and they took part in the festivities as well. We got to watch "Circle of Fire" as a family. For those of you who know what that is, you understand how terrifying it can be. It was Devon's first time, so he was uber excited....he came down from that cloud real quickly. Just kidding, it was actually way safer this year than in years past. Trust me...there are scars to prove it.

Today (actually, I just realized it was midnight, so I guess yesterday) we went to breakfast and then took the kids to the zoo, which was hot. Not hot as in good, hot as in I wanted to die. It was still pretty fun though. Yes, there are more pictures.

After the zoo, we hung out for a while, and then Cailey and I decided to dye our hair. Mine actually looks pretty much the same because I'm too scared to dye it any darker than it already is. But Cailey's is different.

And, last but not least, this morning while Tessa and I were waiting to go to the zoo we were looking at other people's blogs. So we were looking at our friends Kelly and Whitney Morrison, and they posted a video of their daughter Emma, and Tessa would not stop watching it. Every time it would end she would whine for me to start it over again. So, she loves Emma-and she's never even really met her. I took some video of it as proof for Whitney. Not like I would lie, but I was not kidding when I said she loved Emma. Enjoy!

Utah Arts Festival

So this weekend Alex and I worked at the Utah Arts Festival, along with the rest of my siblings (minus Coleman). I actually love when it is the arts festival because it's a lot of fun. Alex might disagree because he worked in Coke booths the whole time-no air conditioning and no chair to sit in, and his hours were from 11 am to midnight, whereas mine were only from about 5 to midnight, and half of that time I was eating with my sisters, walking around with my dad, or playing trivia games with Cameron in an air conditioned room. I posted some pictures below of all the awesomeness that was the arts festival. For those of you who don't know, my dad is Mr. Arts Festival, but they spelled his name wrong on the ID badge-everytime someone would stop us, or try to deny us access somewhere, we would say, "Don't you know who my dad is? It's Ted Masen." (his real name is Ted Madsen...sometimes Red Madsen, if you're Chase Visa).
