I'm still pregnant

Don't worry everyone. I'm still here....
And cheerful as ever. I was actually going to post about how awesome my feet look, but I can't figure out how to get the picture off of my phone and onto the computer. Just picture that guy that weighs like a billion pounds that they show pictures of in health textbooks. Those feet are my feet...

We're Moving!!

So Alex and I (along with the child and fetus) are moving...so we need to find someone to rent our townhouse! Alex's friends were going to, but they are dead to us now. (Mike and Steve, I'm talking about you.) I kid, I kid. But seriously, we are looking to rent it by June 1st, so if anyone is interested or knows anyone interested, let me know! Too bad I don't have any pictures of it...but I've lived here for 3 years, so you can bet it's awesome. It's 1100 square feet, 2 bed 2 bath. Brand new carpet, new kitchen (new appliances) and one of the bathrooms is redone. There is a pool and tennis court right out our back door. It's an end unit so we only share one wall with a younger girl who is never ever home, so we don't have to deal with loud neighbors. Oh and my favorite feature is that it comes with your own pool boy/gardener named Antonio (he even removes snow for you). So yeah...let me know if you are interested. You can leave a comment with your email address or something...

Best

Hey all....so it was mine and Alex's anniversary last week-5 years (I know, no one thought it would last). Well anyway, we went to New York, New York. The city so nice, they named it twice: the other name is Manhattan. (Direct Office quote.) Let me tell you, it was the best! Except for the day when Alex made me walk like 40 blocks for no reason-which pretty much made me go into premature labor, and then he wouldn't even buy me a hot dog. But that was just one day...to the good parts!!

Here were our highlights, so not to bore you with our week-o-love. I'll explain them further if need be. Get ready-it was full of highlights.

1: Alex surprised me by renting a limo to drive from Albany to Manhattan. It was totally stocked with Diet Cokes and Easter candies. My best day ever. Alex tried to make me lay down across the back, but I knew better...
2: Totally got to stay right in Time Square. So did every other Asian ever...
3: We met a Scottish guy who said he'd never met a Mormon before, so he was pretty stoked that he met 2 at once. He said it was like waiting forever for a bus-you get 2 at once? It was some analogy. All I know is he didn't even try to pitch to us his awesome new bar/comedy club on account of we were Mormons. Good for us. I didn't get a picture of him. Picture a guy with an accent. AND no, I don't mean Bronson Pinchot from Perfect Strangers, although every time I think of a man with an accent I think of him.

4: We had to take a bunch of pictures like this one:
because we didn't want to ask other people to take them for us...and the fact that I'm pregnant, so full body shots are not good. Ask my mom...she told me I was big. It's cool.

5: Every night when we went out, there were massive amounts of guys promoting a comedy show, and they would ask us if we liked comedy, blah blah blah. So one night, Alex said yes we did, but we were heading to see Rock of Ages on Broadway and this adorable African American gentleman gave him a bust and told him 'he (Alex) was a sexy white guy'. Alex won't stop talking about it...
Sexy enough for you? Ha-I can't resist these pictures.
6: At dinner one night, we were standing waiting for our table to be cleaned off, and there was an adorable little French woman who kept smiling her approvals at me. I'm pretty sure she was sending her good intentions to my baby, which is really sweet.
7: ROCK OF AGES!!!!!!!!-this highlight has like a bazillion highlights within itself. Oh my it was the best musical ever. For those who don't know, music pretty much makes my blood hurt. Not just any music, awesomely awesome music. And then I really love musicals. You make something into a musical, I'll become a fan. I wish they would air that Cop Rock show again, because I bet I would've loved it. Anyway, these things are all well and good, until they combine every band that I love into a MUSICAL. It literally (not literally) melted my face. AND, the star was Constantine Maroulis-you know, from American Idol. Oh my gosh, there are so many things I can say about this. But here, I'll break it down.
  • First, they gave everyone fake lighters. They were kind of like those laser pointer things, so you would push a button and it would light up. So when they would sing songs we would wave our lighters, just like a real concert.
  • We were right on the front row, to the side, so the actors/actresses would sing directly to us. And they would seriously sing to us. And once one of the guys practically kicked me in the head.
  • When the hippie in the play came down to pass out fliers, I was the only person in the audience that she gave one to. THE ONLY PERSON.
  • The drunk rocker (there was only one specific one) sat behind me for awhile and put his boot on my chair. It was part of the show. And he dropped his fake money, which I totally stole.
  • Near the end, the hot stripper girl came down into the audience and high fived me and Alex. It was like she gave us a private lap dance.
  • There were hot strippers...always a highlight.
  • When they were singing "Don't Stop Believin', Alex and Constantine had a moment. They smiled and head nodded at each other.
  • Also during "Don't Stop Believin', Constantine and other lead girl came over by us and my baby kicked, and he smiled and nodded at me. He totally approved of my pregnancy!
  • And lastly, the songs were freaking amazing. Seriously-you can't go wrong with Whitesnake, Journey, Mr. Big, Poison, REO Speedwagon, and many others...especially when Constantine is peering into your soul while singing...
This is when I remembered to take a picture. This is all the stuff we got from the musical. That's my flyer from the hippie, and my fake money...and my baby belly, which I had before.
But for realsies, it was the best. Except I sincerely missed Tessa so much. It was weird. Normally I'm totally cool with abandoning her with the grandparents/aunts whenever possible, but for some reason I cried almost every day because I missed her so much. It could be because of the hormones that are rushing through my body at a terrifying rate...or I just love that little girl.
And she got her cast off today, so she's not so boyish anymore! What's not to love!!??!!

Tessa's Phase

So I've always heard that kids (or maybe girls, who knows) will go through a phase where they want to pick out their own clothes and dress themselves and all that, but Tessa never did that, so I was like whatevs. Welp, I was wrong. She changes a good 6 times everyday, but her outfit always centers around this little tank top that I got from Forever 21.

It's so cute, but it's still way too big for her, so you get a little 'show' when she wears it...

Anyway, she's always so proud of herself when she gets dressed-all I asked is that she at least try to dress pretty...so this is what she came up with today.

Yep. That's a ballerina skirt. And she didn't even try to put the tank top on right...spiteful. At least she posed cute-I mean look at the extension of her legs! And I promise I actually do her hair. She pulled it out today so she could try to eat the clip that was holding it back...I realize most of my posts about Tessa make her sound "less than fresh"...I promise she's smart!

That's all I've got.

My broken child

Sophie wanted to see Tessa's new pink cast-so here it is!!
She's already taken it to some of the family to have it signed-the only problem is she wants to color all over it. But she was actually really excited about it. Now she looks like a tomboy...which everyone knows is all I ever wanted. I guess it doesn't help that I dress her in shirts with dinosaurs on them and green converse...I'm going to go put a tutu on her right now.

Girl Trip

What up...so this weekend the girls in my family got to go to Orange County for a fun girl trip (hence the blog title). It was so much fun it made my blood hurt...for realsies. And it hurt my feet...cuz women be shoppin. It's true, women do shop. BUT for some reason, most of the pictures I got were of us eating. Which we did a lot of. Shazaam.
This was our first day-we went to breakfast at Plum's, which was a fabulous recommendation by my mom's gal pal Loretta. Thanks Grrrlfriend.
Cailey couldn't keep food in her mouth she was so excited.
Cessy (sorry, but I'm sure you are posting disgusting pictures/dance videos of me). We all loved it. Doesn't my sis look stunning?
Then there was a bunch of other stuff we did, like shop. THEN, we ate some more...

We decided for our dessert we ate cheesecake at the factory that makes cheesecakes. This is the only semi flattering picture of myself. I'M PREGNANT. so I'm allowed to look disgusting sometimes.

THEN it started raining really bad, so we had to run to our car. Long story short, Ashlii had an accident.

Who am I kidding, short story, she totally peed her pants. She's 27.

That night, we decided to play cards. And it got heated.

Proof.

The next day was our last day there, so we went to Laguna Beach.

My mom and sisters.

Cessy sometimes is funny...

And I can still get some air, even though I have another person in my belly. Imagine that.

The trip was soooo much fun. I even added extra o's to emphasize the fun-ness! Obviously I was having way too much fun to take a lot of pictures...

BUT the best part of the trip was what I got to come home to.
Yup. This is my baby girl...and her temporary cast. She fell down the stairs at Alex's parents house and fractured her tiny little wrist. But she's cool. She gets doped up on medicine every 6 hours, so she's doing pretty well. And she's excited to get her permanent cast on Thursday so that people can "color on it." She keeps me young.

ABCs

I stole this from my sister's friends blog. I'm pretty sure she didn't actually tag me since I stalk her blog, but I'm doing it because I got nothing to blog about. I'm pregnant and Tessa is cute. Bored? I know. So here we go:
ABC tag
A- Attached or single: Attached on the weekends-but don't even get me started when Alex is traveling...look out!

B- Best Friend: I'm supposed to say Alex, right? Well-Cessy and Cailey and my mom and that girl that I talk to at work...JK. It's my television.

C- Cake or Pie: Cake. Pie freaks me out ever since they released American Pie that fateful summer in 1999.

D- Day: Wednesday

E- Essential Item: Reese's Peanut Butter Cups

F- Favorite Color: Ash Gray. Or I think I like Red sometimes too-but then I realize that Red is Whore-ish. So pink.

G- Gummi Bears or Worms: Bears.

H- Home town: Sandy, UT

I- Indulgences: Alex. Ha.

J- January or July: July-it's baby season for this girl.

K- Kids: Tessa Diana, who is 3. And Fetus-who is 5 and a half months in my belly. He'll be named Sullivan. Or Delilah, if Tessa can't get over the fact that it's a boy.

L- Life is incomplete without: Diet Coke. Or my family, blah blah blah.

M- Marriage Date: April 7, 2005

N- Number of Siblings: 2 brothers and 2 sisters, so 4. That's math.

O- Oranges or Apples: Apples. The very scent of orange makes me nauseous. That's why we buy lemon scented Pine Sol.

P- Phobias or Fears: Scorpions. Or that ghost that Tessa keeps telling me lives in our house.

Q- Quote: "I'd rather see the world from another angle"-Jewel. Ha-I'm on a roll.

R- Reason to smile: my humor. Who's smiling right now? You're welcome.

S- Season: Fall. Boot weather.

T- Tag Three: Whitney will do this. And then I don't care who else. (Whit, don't make me look bad here.)

U- Unknown Fact About Me: I used to be a fat kid. Just kidding-not about being a fat kid, about that being unknown. I'm pretty sure Cessy stole my 5th grade school picture and distributed it to everyone we've ever come in contact with. Ask Mike Camp...he's got one. But it totally worked out to my benefit, I totally had a boyfriend in 6th grade. So eat that.

V- Vegetarian or Oppressor of Animal: I love meat. And I HATE Vegetarians. Sorry...

W- Worst Habit: Caring too much, working too hard. Wanting to complete tasks when they are given to me. Those are also my best habits... but seriously, I bite my nails. That's bad.

X- X-rays or Ultrasounds: Ultrasounds, for obvious reasons.

Y- Your favorite food: Diet Coke, Reese's, Oreo Cookies. We found this coupon the other day that if you bought a Diet Coke and Reese's it was only a dollar. My lil sister said that it was a coupon made just for me. And she was right.

Z- Zodiac Sign: Taurus

And here's a little something, since I haven't posted it in a while:
Fun. and Fin.
